The CFMA is the only non-profit organization dedicated to serving financial professionals in the construction industry. The organization was established in 1981 and maintains 7,000 members with 88 chapters nationwide. The Tampa Bay Chapter was established in 1987 and currently has approximately 60 members from throughout the construction industry.

CFMA is the primary organization for education and networking among construction financial managers. It offers many benefits including: networking, education, personal growth, company asset, career opportunities and much more! CFMA offers both a General Membership as well as an Associate Membership. The General Membership represents all types of contractors, including generals and subcontractors as well as developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, principals and material and equipment suppliers. The Associate Membership is open to all those serving the construction industry, such as lawyers, public accountants, bankers, sureties, insurance agents and carriers and other service providers.

Every year the CFMA hosts a Leadership Conference called Spring Creek, which is an introductory-level course that provides 16 CPE credits in the Field of Management Advisory Services. The duration of this retreat is three-and-a-half days and designed for individuals wanting to excel within the workplace, improve work-life balance, and become successful chapter presidents. Amy Loupin attended this year’s retreat, which was held at the Carefree Resort in Carefree, Arizona. The conference provides the opportunity for all to interact with like-minded individuals from the construction finance industry while participating in team-building programs that are fun and proven leadership models. Spring Creek ultimately enriches leadership capabilities, cultivates creativity, and promotes collaboration with other chapter leaders and Headquarters staff.

Currently, Amy Loupin is honored to be the President-Elect of the CFMA-Tampa Bay Chapter and in April 2017 will become President lasting for a two-year term. She is extremely excited to embark on this new opportunity. She states,

I am very excited to receive this opportunity to become the next President of the CFMA-Tampa Bay Chapter in April. I have been involved with CFMA for the last four years and have built many valuable relationships among other general contractors as well as subcontractors, sureties, insurance agents, public accountants and other industry specialists nationwide. I look forward to utilizing my skills to expand our Chapter’s reach within the construction industry as well as helping other construction financial professionals to network with the industry’s best and brightest of the region.”
