Over the previous decade, many companies have come to terms with the importance of comprehensive background screening internally and externally. A combination of new industry-specific compliance requirements, high-profile incidents, and the rise of the gig economy means businesses must consider how best to vet outside vendors accessing their sites. That’s why, in 2009, an Omaha energy provider turned to the newly formed Certified Contractors program to keep their campus safe and work efficiently with third-party service providers. Since then, Certified Contractors has grown to serve many industries nationwide, from education to finance, construction, and beyond.
