Tampa lifestyle brand Champa Bay Sports was recently announced as a vendor at Tampa’s annual Gasparilla Music Festival. The event will feature a variety of local businesses and vendors as well as nationally known artists such as Nas, Sofi Tukker, Sylvan Esso, Gov’t Mule and more. The Gasparilla Music Festival is put on by the non-profit Gasparilla Music Foundation which supports their initiative the “Recycled Tunes” program. The event will be held at Curtis Hixon Park from October 1st-3rd. Champa Bay Sports will be donating a portion of their sales to the Gasparilla Music Foundation as part of being a vendor during the weekend.
The mission of Recycled Tunes is to enrich the lives of underserved and impoverished children in Tampa Bay by ensuring access to musical instruments. Recycled Tunes has several instrument drives throughout the year. The collected instruments are refurbished by a local music store, Tampa’s Don Banks Music, and then donated to local schools and other music programs.
We spoke with Champa Bay Sports & eRemede CEO and Founder Ben Sever, who told us, “Not only am I excited for what Champa Bay Sports will do for innovation, philanthropy, and community, but the strategic partnership between the Champa Bay Sports team and the tenured eRemede experts provide a perfect bedrock of the industries in Tampa. When looking at it through a macro-economic view, they have a perfect dovetail between philanthropy, software, empowerment, human capital management, sports and innovation. We support the mission of Gasparilla Music Festival and are proud to be involved with this event.” Ben founded Champa Bay Sports (Instagram) in 2021 and launched the Tampa-based company during the Stanley Cup finals.
We love to see the variety of ways Ben and Champa Bay Sports are positively impacting and representing our community and look forward to their continued success!
