#TeamElevate spent the evening of September 21 taking a deeper look into the art of networking. Robert Graves, Director of Business Performance Improvement at Dale Carnegie Tampa Bay, served as the guest speaker at Emerge Tampa Bay’s Professional Development Speaker Series event. #TeamElevate used this opportunity to sharpen our networking skills as did other young professionals in attendance.

Graves provided tips and tricks on how to increase success at networking events. His tips included saying your name clearly and effectively, how to communicate with others, and how to be a proactive listener. According to Graves, networking is all about building a relationship with the person you’re speaking to. Building a relationship is key to getting the appointment or referral that could change your business life.
